Shining Stars is a large extended family that keeps growing one child at a time.

Each child that enters becomes one of our own forever. 

Our commitment is to work with each parent to give each child the individualized care they need to allow each child to learn & grow at their own pace.

To learn but to have fun in doing so!

Carrie Hoerig started caring for children as a Registered TDPRS home in April of 2000, she then became a Licensed TDPRS home in March of 2007, then in September 2008 she took a leap of faith to operate a small Licensed center in their rental property caring for 12 children while continuing her childcare education and experience for licensing to obtain her license to direct a larger center. She employed her sister Kathy Bowen who had worked for 8 years with the Jourdanton school cafeteria.

She recieved her permit to operate fully at any capacity in March of 2009.
